LinkBuds Speaker

This video demonstrates the key features of Sony’s LinkBuds Speaker

A young woman enters a home listening to energetic pop music with LinkBuds earbuds and returns them to their charging case.  The camera cuts to a LinkBuds Speaker as the music briefly pauses for a beat, and an indicator light changes colour on the Speaker, with a notification sound, the music starts playing again from the Speaker. A caption says “Auto Switch / Seamless connection with LinkBuds earbuds” with the footnote.

The music stops and the scene’s lighting changes as we cut to a close-up of the Speaker.  The woman presses the Quick Access button on the top of the speaker.  A more chilled out ambient music track starts alongside the caption “Quick access for one touch listening” and a wider shot reveals the speaker being picked up to be moved from a night stand and to a table where the woman is drawing on a tablet computer.  The woman stretches, then the scene changes to her sleeping with the speaker beside her bed. while the music gradually fades out with the caption“Auto Play / plays music according to your routine”. 

With the caption still on screen, we cut to the next morning, and a different house where a young man is brushing his teeth, A LinkBuds Speaker is on the coffee. A notification sound is heard, and energetic music starts playing without him touching the speaker. A caption reads “Auto Play / plays music according to your routine” 

We cut to a close-up of his phone screen, and a tap to launch the “Sound Connect” app.  A large simulation of his smartphone hovers behind him showing his actions in the user interface configures the Auto Play settings. The caption says “Sound Connect app for total control”.

The shot cuts to an extreme close-up of the Speaker’s fabric grill, and the camera zooms back as the the fabric becomes transparent to reveal the speaker units, while animated sound waves spread outwards.  A caption reads “Clear and well-balanced sound with an X-Balanced Speaker Unit, a tweeter and passive radiators”, before the camera zooms into the speaker unit again, transitioning through the speaker and a brief shot of the woman dancing and singing along with the track.

We return to the woman watching a music video on the tablet as she walks through her living room. A low-angle shot of her smartphone screen on a table reveals an incoming call, with the caption “Multipoint Connection / for total convenience”. She picks up the phone and swipes to answer the call. The music immediately pauses, then she starts talking towards the LinkBuds Speaker, which has automatically switched from her tablet to her smartphone to handle the hands-free call. As she asks the caller how she is a caption reads “Best in class call quality of any Sony wireless speaker”, with the footnote, “Sony measurements using ITU and ETSI (distance) guidelines. Compared to Sony models sold after April 1, 2021 (except neckband speakers)”. She continues her handsfree conversation in the kitchen as she makes herself a smoothie.

The scene cuts back to the man looking through LP records with the Speaker placed nearby, under a caption highlighting its ”Compact Size”. He picks up the Speaker and moves it to a table near a friend, with the caption “Design blends into any interior”. He carries the Speaker again, this time with it hanging from its integrated strap, under the caption “Convenient strap”. He places it on its supplied charging cradle with the caption “Cradle for easy charging”. Cutting to his bathroom, the speaker sits beside the sink as he washes his face,dries his hair, and brushes his teeth in front of a mirror. A caption reads ”Splashproof with an IPX4 rating” along with the footnote, “Splashproof only works when the cap is closed. Not guaranteed for all situations”.  

Back in the woman’s kitchen, a montage fast-forwards through the day with the caption “Up to 25 hr battery life” with the footnote “At volume level 23”. 

A close-up of the the woman’s hands show her taking LinkBuds earbuds from their case and putting them on. Cutting to a close-up of the Speaker, the notification light pulses and the music pauses briefly before being transferred to the LinkBuds earbuds. The woman exits the house, wearing her LinkBuds earbuds while the music continues.

A quick montage cycles through the scenes of the woman and men in their living spaces as the camera rotates around the LinkBuds Speaker with the title “Keep every world on” in the centre of the screen. A black and white geometric shape transitions to the LinkBuds Speakers in grey and black colours, rotating on a white background with the “LinkBuds Speaker” logo and "Keep every world on” tag line, then the animated Sony logo.
