Xperia 5 V

This video introduces the Xperia 5 V smartphone, opening with an animated title, “Xperia 5 V”, on a black background.

With energetic background music playing, the camera moves back from a lilac-coloured background through colourful animated shapes and the hand-stylised words “New phone” and “New me”, until all the coloured images are revealed to be displayed on the Xperia 5 V widescreen OLED display. It is revealed to be sitting flat on a table in landscape orientation.

The camera smoothly continues backwards, to reveal more of a table, covered in coloured glass objects which are casting natural shadows and reflections, and a plant, as the phone is picked up by a woman´s hand.

The shot switches to a grey background and the woman’s hand smoothly appears from the bottom of the frame, holding the Xperia in portrait orientation with its ‘Platinum Silver’ back facing the camera. Animated coloured shapes appear around the edge of the Xperia.

On a light blue background, a tight shot pans around the camera lenses on the device’s rear. A wider shot shows the woman lifting the Xperia to capture a selfie, accompanied by more animated shapes, then another close-up shot of the dual camera lenses, flash and ZEISS T*. A montage of quick shots continues to focus on the camera lenses then the woman´s face is revealed, with brightly coloured eye makeup, as she captures multiple selfie angles.

We transition, through a shot panning right across the device screen, to a new shot over the woman’s shoulder with a pink backdrop. She is wearing Sony WH-1000XM5 overhead headphones, connected for high-quality wired sound, using the Xperia’s 3.5 mm headphone jack. A music playback interface with album art is displayed on the screen.

The shot transitions again through colourful animated shapes to a montage highlighting the phone design. The woman holds the phone in both portrait and landscape orientations, highlighting the sleek design.

The video cuts to a title “New phone. New me” in colourful stylised fonts, alongside more animated shapes and three woman´s hands holding up three Xperia 5 V in colour variations: Black, Platinum Silver and Blue.

A shot reveals the low-profile, environmentally conscious packaging, sustainably made of 100% recyclable blended paper.

The video ends with a quick animation of coloured dots, transitioning to a product shot of the three Xperia 5 V colours (Platinum Silver, Blue and Black) on a black background, then the Sony animated logo.
