The Xperia 1 VI introduces a new thermal management system: it's the first Xperia 1 series with a vapour chamber cooler and graphite sheet, resulting in better all-around usage. Despite a more powerful cooling system, the device is thinner than the previous Xperia models.

The Xperia 1 VI uses Corning® Gorilla® Glass Victus® 2 in the front, which contains an average of 25% of pre-consumer recycled content. In addition, it maintains superior scratch resistance and improves drop performance on rougher surfaces.
